SAN ANTONIO STEEL COMPANY CELEBRATES 50 YEARS IN BUSINESS

San Antonio Steel Company (SASCO), one of the nation’s leading wholesale distributors of agricultural fencing and construction reinforcement products, is celebrating their 50th year in business.

SASCO was founded in 1965 as a wholesale distribution company that focused mainly on nails and wire. L.C. “Chaz” Neely, Jr. purchased the company in 1979 and, with the support of his family and dedicated employees, SASCO has grown in sales year over year to become the largest wholesale distributor of agricultural fencing in the United States.

Today, SASCO offers more than 700 steel items, including some of the most respected brand names in agricultural fencing products, such as The 50-Year Fence by StaTite50 and Texas Classic. The company operates from an 80,000 square-foot facility on 20 acres in southeast San Antonio and primarily services rural lumberyards, feed stores and cooperatives that supply farmers, ranchers and construction companies across Texas and the United States.

San Antonio Steel Company is a family owned business whose primary interest is helping their customers grow, prosper, and become more successful. SASCO believes in the power of rural America, which is why they support agricultural entities across Texas, specifically those contributing to youth development and the future of the industry.
